If you would like me to put a picture of your engine on this page please click here. Your motor doesn't have to have twin turbos or air conditioning, I just want pictures of your engine in any condition.
If you click on the pictures a higher resolution version in a new window will appear as if by magic, they will take a time to load though as some are quite big.
This Model 102 was found on Ebay Australia by Bruce, this is a cleat example of a non-standard renovated Seagull. I think it is always best to make a renovation unique in some way. This one seems to have a standard Century 100 propeller which lets it down a little but I think the paintwork and the polishing of the bronze is excellent.
This is Koerts LLS, He asked me what I thought of it. I am really impressed, this is a 50 year old engine and it looks immaculate, Look at the condition of that chrome ! If it were mine I would have it on display and not use it !
This is Bobs Forty Plus won on Ebay. As you can see from the picture its in excellent condition. This picture was taken by the seller and Bob assures me he doesn't store it with the tiller arm down. If you do, don't, otherwise you can look forward to a £15 bill for a new throttle cable ! A great little engine.
This was found by Rob in Australia, It seems to have an AC model 102 power unit, with an Early forty plus gearbox, the Exhaust has been homemade. I think it looks great !
This is Mikes late uncles Model 170, he will shortly be placing it for sale on Ebay. It is almost as good as new ! it has had ¾ of an hours run on a canal and thats all, it has been dry stored ever since.
This is my favorite seagull, The model 102. This one is owned by Edmund Lybergsvik from Norway, all the pictures are clickable, just look at the views ! I like the combined seat and engine side mounting idea, its truly genius.
This is John Reeds Seagull mounted up out of the way. You can see it at the stern under its cover. It goes to show that these engines can easily get large boats out of trouble.
This is Pauls seagull, Paul won the Easter 2005 competition. He re-conditioned this last winter (2004) it pushed his pilot boat up the norfork broads for a good 4hrs and ran sweet as a nut! he said it Proved to me it will make a good standby engine when going to sea to fish !
This picture caused a bit of an arguement between Seppo from the Netherlands and I, When he said his Century only had one piston ring I said that they all had 2 rings. He had to strip the motor down to prove it ! After some research this piston is the result of British Seagulls continuing cost cutting. Unfortunately the only result was lack of compression, rough running and poor engine performance ! They soon returned to using 2 rings !

This is Richard Maynards Gull, I gave it the nickname Rudolf in the reply I gave him but I think it went down like a lead balloon ! However, it goes to show you don't have to have a seagull looking like it did when it left the factory. Has anyone else got a picture of a different colour scheme on their seagull ?
This is Doms Silver Century Plus, this is the larget of the classic gulls and this is a fine example of the model. Domw has promised me some clips of it running and after some editing I hope to post one or two on here.
Very rare indeed, a brass standard tank with no dents in original condition. This one was found by Mark Owner of The Seabee Outboard website.
This is the Taylors boat Sally in Abu Dhabi with their 40+ on the back. Sally was built by Morgan Giles in Teignmoth - Devon in 1933 and was shipped out to Abu Dhabi last year.
This is Güner with his Century 100 on Lake Eymir in Turkey, 20 kilometers from the center of Ankara and it is mainly occupied by his schools rowing team. Nice to have another picture of a seagull in use.
Brian from Bermuda sent me these pictures of some of his modified seagulls. Brian races them. The souped up motors above are based round the seagull 5R which was Seagulls last attempt at a saleable engine. Not many of these around nowadays, they have a later seagull powerhead mounted on a yamaha 4HP leg via an adaptor plate. The other picture of the silver century with a modified gearbox. The gearbox itself is a featherweight one with a different propellor, possible a Yamaha one. I want the purple engine please !
This is Richards home made weed cutter. He was having a few problems with weed tangling around his prop so he came up with this idea. He used a stainless steel steak knife blade to do this. Great idea !
